Description: When designing a logo, you may find a typeface that is right for a design but you may also want to customise it slightly to further craft the type to tailor the aesthetic, make the type more bespoke to make the overall logo unique. Customising a typeface can be done in vector based programs like Illustrator and Affinity designer where you can tweak the letter forms to suit your design. With my chosen typeface, next it’s time to incorporate it into my logo to complete the design. For my logo approach I am going to use a typeface called Aventa Geometric which I think is going to work perfectly, but to reflect on my initial logo design I am going to look to make some very minor modifications. In this video, I’m going to demonstrate how we can work with type and make some simple modifications to a pre-designed typeface to perfectly match my intended design to complete my logo.
